BAD CLOTHES, GOOD PEOPLE

After the tour he never wears it again and one day his wife decides to throw it out. He asks her not to and the two come to the following agreement: He is to choose one wacky day of the year in which to walk around adorned with the embroidered shirt.

And who can afford to buy a Yeti costume? We now know his name – Tim Convery. In the 1990s he acquires the hairy garment to have fun dancing in night clubs. His idea to own this costume, however, “stinks” a little. The smell resembles a mixture between wild animal fur and a swamp. This robust odour forces him to shove it into the darkest corner of his closet, but it never leaves his heart.

Don’t worry – bad clothes can happen to good people, too. Tom Coleman finds eighty brave souls, wearing the most regrettable fashion faux pas. In his album I Actually Wore This: Clothes We Can’t Believe We Bought delves deep into people’s most peculiar dreams. Things could really get dramatic when taste loses its mind. Photos are in a very ironic postmodern style a shot of the owner wearing the item.

One of the protagonists by the name Sid Krager acquires a cashmere pullover bearing Che Guevara’s face for 600 US Dollars. Krager ends up making this crazy purchase after having a few drinks and that’s why his advice is to refrain from going shopping when you’re drunk. Another member of the “Bad Taste” club is the musician Adam Green. He decides to cheat on his style by buying a Swiss farmer’s shirt with embroidered Edelweiss flowers on it. His intentions are pure – he only wants to make his fans at a concert in a small Swiss town happy.

And last but not least, a quote from Tom Coleman himself, which will encourage us to continue making “fashion mistakes” for fun: “Don’t be ashamed of your ludicrous fashion choices. Don’t hate them but rather celebrate the freedom you have expressed in owning them”.
