Tunde Oyeneyin -Just S.P.E.A.K.

Tunde Oyeneyin –Ā Just S.P.E.A.K.

“When you live a life, it should be a life of service. A life of service is lived in purpose, on purpose and ofĀ purpose.

My purpose is to speakā€ – says Peloton trainer and public speaker Tunde Oyeneyin.

According to her life manifesto S.P.E.A.K. also could be

  • Surrender
  • Power
  • Empathy
  • Authenticity
  • Knowledge

Nowadays Tunde is working on the soul care.

It sounds luxury but in fact itā€˜s time to do something for the good of the soul.

But at the very beginning it was not so nice and easy.

As a young she has always been the biggest girl in class.

ā€œI was plus-size growing up. I was also the darkest person, and chubby at school, so I stood out.

As a kid, the last thing you want to do is stand out. I had low self-esteem and low confidence.

I felt like I was a very extroverted person living in an introverted personā€™s bodyā€.

Food has always been a focus in her Nigerian culture.

It doesnā€™t matter where – at home, nice place or fast food restaurant.

Always in enormous quantity.

Tunde Oyeneyin attends the 9th annual “Revels & Revelations” in support of teen mental health at City Winery on December 02, 2021 in New York City.

Tunde Oyeneyin didnā€™t want anyone to notice her

Ā Even she didnā€™t laugh hard because she didnā€™t want to be recognized.

Big step for her was a gym membership but her shame was on the top because she had no courage to show her body.

But then Oyeneyin felt the energy of working out with other people.

Ā It was the first step in her struggle with self-esteem and body image.

In those years Tunde felt in love with makeup because it could control the way she did her face.

Years passed when she understood that is possible to control what her body could look like.

The turning point in her life was the first spinning class:

ā€œ Three minutes into class, Iā€™m in a state of euphoria. Iā€™m in this other world. I leave the class, Iā€™m walking back to the hotel, and my walk turns into a skip.

Then Iā€™m laughing and crying.

I have this vision, this wave of energy moves through my body from my fingers to my toes.

I see it all so clearly.

I knew that I was going to be cycling for the rest of my life.

I knew that Iā€™d be teaching it. And I knew that I would touch the world doing it.ā€

It sounds funny but one of the first thing Tunde changed was to cut her hair because as a Black woman her hair was a frame how people could see her

In Oyeneyinā€™s book ā€œSpeak: Find your voice, trust your gut, and get from where you are to where you want to beā€ Tunde describes about her trajectory –

to become Peloton instructor, to encourage people to make a first step in the big change with her motivational ā€œTunde-ismsā€.

Ā First Tunde Oyeneyin became an instructor

at a studio in Los Angeles and after received an invitation from Peloton to do so via Instagram form popular instructor Code Rigsby.

Now you could see her superhero look – sculpted abs and arms.

Nowadays Tunde is reaching more than 20Ā 000 people via her live on the bike.

Her unique energy pushes people to break their limits.

ā€œDo it. Any one thing. Do it now. Do it before youā€™re ready. Face your challenges. Write your own narrative. Do not let your fear hold you hostage, all right?”
