Introducing “Essence of a woman”
Now more than ever, we celebrate the purposeful woman in all her forms.
Because no woman is just one thing: she is living, breathing, moving art. A mixture of qualities, colours, sounds, and experiences with one-of-a-kind essence.
She is you. She is us.
With “Essence of a Woman” we strive to capture the quintessence of the modern female in all her strengths, fragility, and uniqueness. This might sound like an impossible task to achieve as there is so much diversity, and each woman is unique in her own way. However, we decided to create our interpretation of her image and through it tell the story of the clothes. Or better yet – allow the clothes to help tell her story. One of determination and tenaciousness, versatility and warmth, uniqueness and grace.
THE COLLECTION
The collection consists of 4 capsules. It is a story within a story which will be told gradually, as we never believed in the traditional seasonality of the fashion world.
Each capsule plays on the dualities of femininity. Every garment presents a subtle juxtapose between classic and contemporary, trend and timelessness, femininity and masculinity. We allow these contrasts to coexist and work together to create the ultimate capsule wardrobe.

The collection is also partially inspired by the works of the great Spanish architect Richardo Bofill, as we too like to play with unexpected design extremes: whether that is pointy and sharp shoulders, anatomical and engineered cut-outs and egg-shaped coats contrasted by formfitting bias-cut dresses and skirts, wide-leg pants and bohemian prints. In our world clothes are more than just well-tailored garments – they are wearable art and part of your essence.
Located in the outskirts of Barcelona, the repurposed cement factory La Fábrica is home to the Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA) and the Bofill family.
By rejecting the original functionalist approach of the structure as a cement factory, La Fábrica was now unravelling its allure.
THE PIECES
At D2line we are proficient in tailoring and obsessed with detail and the finish of the garment. We study the volume while also perfecting the fit. Our close-knit team of designers spend hours to find the perfect way to close a jacket, choose the best lining and sewing technique so that you can have a piece to cherish for a lifetime. Because at a time when trends come and go, we strive to create designs that are here to stay.
However, the most important aspect remains the fabric choice. A good fabric is the foundation of a good design. We take pride in our fabric choices, sourced from small premium textile houses in France and Italy, with deep roots. For this particular collection, we chose deadstock fabric from one of our trusted partners, to alleviate our footprint and reduce fabric waste. All of this, without sacrificing quality and feel.
The first touch and the sensation the garment brings is undeniably one of our favourite moments from the design creation process. Another favourite is hearing how much you, our customers, love the fabrics we so carefully and lovingly choose: their weight, comfort, movement, softness and luxurious feel against the skin.
We play with all of the senses to bring you the feeling of surprise.
THE ESSENCE
The essence of a woman is rooted in her versatility, much like the essence of our brand. D2Line was founded to explore the depths and nuances of modern femininity through fashion.
This collection is made to amplify all facets of the modern woman: the drive, ambition, femininity, passion, softness, while also providing you with a solution to the “I have nothing to wear” dilemma. Our mission with “Essence of a Woman” was to construct the ultimate capsule collection and allow you to create your mood with the right items. Our goal is for you to feel inspired and joyous every time you open your wardrobe. By having the perfect pieces it will feel versatile and allow you to have fun. From a day look, an evening look to a getaway look – the creative possibilities are endless.
The collection is meant to be worn the way you want and feel. There is no dictate on how and when you should be wearing a look. We want you to feel free.
This is our love letter to all women. Every piece is made with passion and love, produced ethically and made to help you feel like no one else would. “Essence of a Woman” is created so you can create harmony and light in your life, and your wardrobe.
